Auto Insurance Claims Investigation

Defending individuals or businesses in negligence actions requires an attorney with experience in all aspects of trial work.

Parr & Parenteau, P.C. has conducted hundreds of bench and jury trials throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with a focus on first- and third-party auto defense cases.

Much of our business centers on the representation of insurance companies investigating all types of first-party claims, including those related to hit-and-run accidents, no fault (PIP) benefits, auto theft, vandalism, glass replacement, and staged accidents.

Working with claims representatives, SIU investigators, medical investigators, and managers at every level, our attorneys determine the facts and apply them to specific coverages, duties, and exclusions, when applicable - while keeping costs in check.

Body Shop Disputes

Insurance carriers work continuously with auto-repair facilities to determine the extent of vehicle damage and the cost for repair.

All such facilities are governed by highly complex regulations established to protect consumers. At the same time, Insurers are also highly regulated and must always act in the best interests of its insureds.

In some cases, repair facilities do not complete all the repairs as detailed in an auto appraisal, yet they accept full payment as if the repair was completed as stipulated, sometimes installing used parts instead of the new parts required.

The attorneys at Parr & Parenteau, P.C. will seek recovery of funds collected for incomplete work and submit the appropriate reports to state regulators.

When an insured and insurer cannot come to an agreement regarding vehicle damage, Parr & Parenteau can handle umpire disputes as regulated by M.G.L. c. 175, § 191A.

Bodily Injury

The attorneys at Parr & Parenteau, P.C. work closely with claims professionals in the investigation and defense of bodily injury claims ranging from serious injuries to low-impact accidents and the overutilization of medical services.

We assist insurance representatives in the investigation, documentation, and analysis of injury claims, and we develop practical, cost-effective strategies to defend, deny, or settle.

Best practices combined with solid analytics result in sound business decisions using a team approach.
